Nain

Traditional Nain rugs are produced in the city of the same name, Nain, located in the center of Iran and known for both the manufacturing of handmade woolen cloth and rugs of very high quality. Nain rugs are known for their typical blue and white colouring, with a medallion in the centre. These rugs are often a combination of silk and wool and can have a density of more than one million knots.

Highly sought after, traditional Nain rugs are hand knotted using asymmetrical Persian knots made of wool on a cotton warp and typically display floral patterns centered around the medallion. The rugs are then clipped closely, allowing the design to stand out in sharp focus. These rugs offer both durability and beauty, a fine piece of Persian craftsmanship that can be displayed in any room in the house.
